Very nice sir. I agree with pretty much all of the major ones, except best director. I would love to see Aronofsky win for best director. Requiem for a Dream is my number one film, but I see Fincher winning. But yeah, here's my list for the major ones.

Best actor-Colin Firth
Best actress-Natalie Portman
Best supporting actor-Christian Bale
Best supporting actress-Melissa Leo
Best original screenplay-Inception
Best adapted screenplay-The Social Network
Best director-David Fincher
Best picture-The Social Network

The only other ones I have a difference of opinion with are best score and best animated film. I would say Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross for The Social Network and Toy Story 3 for best animated film.

Other than that we see eye to eye.

Oh, and let me ask you, do you think The Town got snubbed? I'm not sure if you've seen Winter's Bone yet,but I have, and I thought The Town was a much better film and deserved a nomination before Winter's Bone. Anyways, that's just a side note. Tell me what you think.

This sounds like Planes, Trains and Automobiles, but then again The Hangover, while very funny, was also not original either.

Kev, I agree with YOU completely. I read all the books and instead of trying to cram too many details into the movie, they did the exact opposite and put too little and it became boring, redundant, and confusing. Too much sitting around and random bleak scenery (visually stunning but not what I'm paying to see). My favorite part was the Ministry of Magic. It looked exactly how I pictured it while reading the book and was masterfully recreated. I'm not passionate about the movies or the books anyway, but, walking out of the theater, I was like "eh." Kudos to you, Kev, for the accurate review (and yes, Part 2 had better be wicked). P.S. Megan: I am with you sister! RIP DOBBY :( That was the saddest thing EVER.

lol you guys are funny, but i'm going with Chantel on this one.. the book is much like the movie. I don't remember all of the book, but I remember there was a lot of traveling, looking for these horcuxes to be destroyed. The second half WILL be epic. And sad. So sad. I cried when Dobby died. RIP DOBBY :(
